True wealth comes from cultivating inner wealth
What does GOLD mean for you? ✨
Do you imagine the precious, shimmering material that lives in the earth? Do you see a burst of stars in your mind’s eye? Or a radiant being? Perhaps you feel it as an energy, a frequency that ripples through you?
This year, GOLD has shown up for me to work with as a teacher, as a medicine, - as a frequency to attune to for my own healing, growth and inner alchemy. And it’s been showing up when I work with clients too.
In no uncertain terms, the message GOLD has shared with me is that we are only ever as wealthy as the state of our inner wealth. This doesn’t mean that we shouldn’t or can’t enjoy material wealth in our lives. But it does mean that cultivating our inner wealth ensures that we enjoy material wealth in a grounded and embodied way and that we are always in ayni (the flow of sacred reciprocity). How many billionaires do you know that actually seem like really grounded, generous, contented people? I don’t actually know any billionaires so I can’t comment. But I know plenty of people who are materially wealthy but who are suffering from the absence of their inner wealth. Sometimes being materially wealthy can even come at the cost of inner wealth - the idea of ‘selling our soul’ comes to mind.
As a teacher, GOLD reminds us to first become present to the richness of life itself and the wealth of our personal experiences. To truly honour and celebrate the gift of our human bodies and take care of our health and wellbeing and to care for others. It reminds us to be grateful for the wealth we receive every day with the sunrise and sunset and everything in between. It reminds us to acknowledge the sacredness of land, sky, and water. This is the foundation of a life lived in integrity and alignment with our heart. This is a life that we look back on as elders and smile with a knowing that we showed up for life, as much as life showed up for us.
As a teacher, GOLD reminds us that our energy is our wealth, and it is vital to take care with it - to be generous without wasting it. It asks us to invest our energy in enriching our relationships and creating a wealth of experiences so we can learn and grow and evolve.
GOLD also asks us to be discerning and to bring our awareness to what truly matters to us. It asks - what is left in our hearts when everything else is gone?
We can be fooled into believing we need more, that we don’t have enough, that WE are not enough. GOLD as a medicine helps to burn away the illusion that we need anything (or to be anything) at all. It purifies our intentions. It refines us. GOLD illuminates our purpose. It shines a light on the lost and dark places within us, offering its sweet nectar to the parts of ourselves that need healing. It is a shimmering thread that weaves us back to wholeness.
Close your eyes softly, place your hands over your heart, and call on the energy of GOLD. Where do you feel it - how does it appear for you? What wisdom does this luminous teacher have for you today?
Imagine yourself immersed in a shimmering golden light. Let the medicine and the frequency of GOLD weave itself through your light body, attuning your energy, transforming any heaviness and bringing clarity to where you can cultivate more inner wealth within you…and let me know how you go.
