The unhurried life

More than ever these days I am welcoming the unhurried life, the falling into natural rhythms - time as spirals. Connecting with the earth beneath my feet, and the steadiness of conscious breath.

Encountering the energy of unhurried-ness is what I describe as pure relief, when we allow ourselves to simply surrender - to relinquish the tightened hold on life and instead just show up in the moment, regardless of what is being offered to us. This way of being asks us to be softer, more receptive, to listen deeply.

We stop striving, pushing, resisting, escaping. We see discomfort as a sacred rite to move through, rather than wrestle with it helplessly. We go deeper into it, with curiosity instead of struggle.

The unhurried life is an allowing for our spacious unfoldment, and unwavering trust in the dark and unknown. In this container of spaciousness, we tend to ourselves - weaving, re-weaving and re-weaving again…we reflect, integrate, refine, rewrite. And then we take yet another leap of faith into the abyss as we trust, trust, trust.

There is no measuring ourselves against others, nor others against us, and we burn the “laws of success” that somebody else wrote. We relax in the knowing that there is no such thing as a last chance, a closed door, or missed opportunity. In spiral time, it all comes around in twists and turns, if we open ourselves to the unexpected.

We inhabit our body and decode her language, taking time to meet ourselves again, again, again, again. Layer by layer. We don’t rush to unwrap the gifts, nor always look to the next one.

In the unhurried life

We relish

We savour

We delight

We let the world spin slowly so we can see with clarity all that we need to see.

We recognise our faults, our fears, our flaws, and our failings as ley lines of the soul that stitch us into wholeness, never less than love itself.

We learn the embodiment of simply being.

We learn the way of the awakened heart and see ourselves through that lens of timelessness - as exactly who we are, how we are, and who we are becoming in each and every wonderful moment.

We fall in love with all of life.
